Day 90: 90 Day Commitment Challenge with Danelle Delgado

Day 90. The Big Day! Which I spent doing none other than working from sun-up til sun-down again (although thankfully not as late as the day before!).

So what did I learn? Largely, that if you decide do anything for 90 days straight, as mad as you thought it was at the beginning, by the end of it it will feel like the norm.

This challenge has forced me to be creative, it has forced me to push myself to do things when I definitely did not want to do them, and I have learned a lot about myself.

I feel like if you give something your all, you can wholeheartedly say what worked and what didn’t work. Since a lot of my problems with decision making over the years have stemmed from a lack of experience and confidence (stemming from a lack of experience or experienced people to ask), that giving it my all was a really good thing for having confidence in my decisions.

It has also been incredibly good for my anxiety. A large chunk of my issues with anxiety stem from the overthinking that inevitably comes from this lack of confidence, as I try to figure out if I’m making the right decision. With deciding to give it my all for 90 days, I just had to keep doing it one day at a time until it was up, then I could worry about if it was the wrong decision!

There is an upside and a downside to focusing on one day at a time though. On one hand, it was easy to dwell on a bad day, but on the other, it forced me to be in the moment more, and enjoy the little things.

Some days it felt like 90 days was a long time, other times it felt like it would be over in the blink of an eye, but I made it.

What an achievement though. Proud of myself just quietly 🙂

Time to re-assess, re-focus, and settle in for the next instalment of this crazy life!

Day 88: 90 Day Commitment Challenge with Danelle Delgado

The weather has frankly, been amazing this past week, and yesterday was no exception. So combine the gorgeous weather with a live band playing in the sunshine on this particular gorgeous Friday afternoon outside my office, and you can imagine I had to dig deep for the motivation to stay inside and work!

I’m also working some very big hours this weekend, so that left my Friday night to get anything I wanted done around the house out of the way. That meant yard work, packing and labelling a bunch of old things that I recently sold online to ship, and all house chores and actually making sure I have clean clothes to wear for the next week!

Needless to say my pizza tasted pretty delicious when it arrived for dinner…

I hope you’re having an amazing day, and feeling motivated to smash your goals today!

Day 87: 90 Day Commitment Challenge with Danelle Delgado

Days where I’m working at two jobs are always big days, and yesterday was no exception, so I was in grind mode up until in I got home at 11 pm for a cuddle with the furball and a few minutes of banter with my partner before collapsing into bed.

I hope your squeezing every second out of your day and loving it!

Day 59: 90 Day Commitment Challenge with Danelle Delgado

Yesterday I found myself with a spare couple of hours since my partner wasn’t feeling well, so I decided to put it to good use and spend some extra time on music, and basically fell down the progressive metal rabbit hole. There’s soo much to learn, soo many greats to learn it from, and soo little time!

The more I learn about music, and the better I get, the more time I want to spend on it… got to figure out how to get more time! Just another thing to master from the greats!

I hope you’re killing it today!

Day 58: 90 Day Commitment Challenge with Danelle Delgado

Day 58 was a good one for my sense of current self, and knowing who I want to become. For those of you who have been reading my blogs or watching my vlogs for a while, you may know that I write my goals down every day. Yesterday I also started writing down what my ideal day looks like.

I started to write down how I would spend my ideal day, because this is really the first big goal that I’m heading towards, the freedom to spend my day doing exactly the way that I choose. This in turn will allow me the freedom and time I need to put full steam into my other larger goals, like funneling more time and money into the not-for-profit groups that I am passionate about, and making music.

I think this is going to be a useful wee addition to my morning goal-writing! It helps me envision the next big achievement ahead!

I hope you’re smashing it today!

Day 57: 90 Day Commitment Challenge with Danelle Delgado

Day 57 was a tiring one. In fact, by 3 pm I was about ready to call it a day, but I knew it would pass if I just pushed through. So I did what I always do when I start to feel physically and emotionally ‘tapped out’, I plugged my earphones in, and “charged up” my energy listening to someone who reminded me of why I do what I do, and why the grind is worth it. A phone full of motivational speakers and earphones is worth more than it’s weight in gold if you put it to good use!

Yesterday I charged up listening to the pure sass that is #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, and before I knew it, I’d done everything I needed to, and I was heading home with a bit more energy in the tank, to tick away at a few more things. Consistency and commitment win!

I hope you’re dominating your goals today!

Day 50: 90 Day Commitment Challenge with Danelle Delgado

Day 50 was a bit running a marathon in sprint mode. I had a dinner with some old work colleagues after work and had to dig very deep to get out of the office on time! It was worth it to get out in the sunshine and have a good laugh though.

Sometimes you just have to squeeze in the social time… making sure you get what you need done though!

I hope you’re smashing your goals today!
