I had hoped to be in better physical shape by now, especially with summer looming here in NZ, and my trip to Las Vegas to attend 10X Growth Con in February! So here comes the extra cardio… but where to squeeze it in?
Last night I managed to squeeze it in by watching a movie with my partner, largely from my spin bike, and the rest while doing a couple of last minute bits before bed.
Gotta make it work!
I hope you’re having a fantastic and productive day today!
Not much to report on day 84 to be honest, just an ordinary day of grinding, organising and practicing. I am just about done with Bethenny Frankel’s audiobook “A Place of Yes” though, and every chapter in it has held a little bit of inspiration for me, so I highly recommend it!
I will leave you with a quote from it that struck me quite hard after a lifetime of heartbreak, failures, and bad decisions before I decided to become the best version of myself… take the lesson from it, and keep moving forward.
“No matter what you’ve done, even if you regret it, even if you don’t know what the hell to do next, every single thing that happens to you has the potential to open new doors. It happened for a reason—and it’s still taking you somewhere, even if you can’t see it right now.” – Bethenny Frankel
Have a fantastic day!
I worked all day yesterday, not getting home until 9 pm, so the Sunday grind is alive and well! A bit disappointing that I didn’t get much creative time in this weekend, but I’ll just have to use that disappointment to fuel my fire to get myself into a better financial position and not have to work so much! (or get better at my creative side so that that can be my work?
Dreams are free, and there’s a lot more hustle to do to make that even a possibility!) I have a LOT so much to learn and so much time to make up there, so I’ll just have to keep pushing for a while longer.
Have a beautiful and productive day today!
I’m working all day today, so yesterday (Day 82) was the only day available to get all my “weekend stuff” done. All my errands, meal prep for the week, etc. all had to be done yesterday on top of a volunteer shift, and cramming as much of my daily goals in as possible.
It was busy, tiring, and satisfying!
I hope you’re making the most of your weekend!
With Day 80 done and dusted it’s very close to the end of the challenge now! I did get some interest from a potential new weekend employer, so we’ll just have to see how that pans out. It did mean doing a bit of research about the particular niche environment I will be working in, and talking it over before collapsing into bed.
Days where I cycle to work on top of yoga practice really take it out of me physically, especially since I’m usually riding against the wind on the way home… that didn’t stop me from going the long way home to pick up a few things for my researching and practicing!
I find when it starts to get a bit much, that it helps to just look at the piece I’m working on right not… or in the case of a brutal end-of-day cycle ride against the wind, just keeping my eyes a few metres in front of me…
Dig deep! You’re dreams may be just around the corner!
Day 75 was a pretty busy one! I got a heap of stuff done around the house, and finished the night off at work. I also filmed the entire day with the intention of uploading a vlog this morning, but when I opened up the files, I realised I’d run out of memory on my way home, which was the highlight of the whole night, with a discussion a really positive lady who made my night!
The people you choose to be around affect your mood and energy, but you get to choose whether the people around you are ones that affect you positively or negatively. This goes for day-to-day interactions as well as your inner circle!
I hope you’re squeezing every drop out of your day today!
Day 74 just happened to be a public holiday in my region, which is AWESOME, because it meant I got to spend the entire day being creative and still have money coming in.
I spent the day solely on my creative goals, practicing guitar, listening intently to new music and trying to pick out what they were doing, and I stopped in to a second hand clothing shop to nab some items and fabrics that I could start to play with. It is the first time in a long time that I have forgotten to eat… a good sign goals-wise.
I managed to pick up a couple of plain black dresses which I can customize and play with, but what I am most excited about is a red pattered fabric that I can make into something completely my own!
I capped off my exciting and adventurous day with a very rare night out with my partner, to attend a performance called Cirkopolis, a blend of circus arts, theatre and dance, set in the industrial era. Definitely fitting for the theme of the day, and I think my partner appreciated some extra time with me! The hustle comes with sacrifices, but I try to nab extra time where I can. It’s the little things that keep a relationship going!
I hope you’re having a marvelous, fantastic, and successful day today!
