Starting the day on a positive note

giphy (2)

This morning I watched a video on facebook, of the morning meeting held daily at Cardone Enterprises, and it hands-down seemed like the right way for a company to start the day.

The shared the successes of the day before, they congratulated each other at the top of their lungs, and sang happy birthday a couple of people in the team who have made it through another year.

The energy was positive and supportive, and I have no doubt an environment like that breeds the confidence and drive that it takes to work in a competitive sales team, or really any business.

But if like me, you still work for other people, and your small upstart business is still Party of One, how does that help?

I’ve been mulling it over, and definitely think there are ways to adapt this morning strategy to a solo-preneur lifestyle! Things like:

  1. Teaming up with another solo-preneur to boost each other, bounce ideas, and hold each other accountable when motivation is lacking
  2. Morning meeting with your family – if you can swing this, they may appreciate the extra time with you, and have a better understanding of what you’re doing (which can definitely help if you’re grinding the rest of the day and night away, everywhere else but home)
  3. A morning gratitude journal
  4. Convince your boss of the productive benefits of doing this in your office, or hell, just start doing it and let people join in
  5. Hell, if you’re truly flying solo put on the music that makes your feel most powerful, look at your stats from the day before, jump around, dance, sing, celebrate your own successes from the day before

Any other ideas? Do you have your own energy-boosting morning routine?

Stay hungry,

Blog Update: Let’s Do This!

With the 90 Day Commitment Challenge tidied up, I’ve decided that I still want to write every day (if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing every day right?), but with a bit more variety!

I want each day ┬áto have it’s own flavour, from the classic Motivational Monday, through to something a bit more unique.

I haven’t quite nailed all of them down, but there’s no point dilly-dallying around until I have it all figured out, because if life has taught me anything so far, it’s that if you wait til you have it all figured out, nothing will ever happen.

SO, without further adieu, this is what I’ve decided to roll with:

Motivation Monday: Profiles on motivational people and concepts

Try Tuesday: I love to learn about, and try new things, so this should be a bit of fun at the beginning of the week!

Work in Progress (WIP) Wednesday: Progress in goals and various projects

Thirsty Thursday: Dreams, goals, and all out primal needs

Freestyle Friday: Whatever. I. Want to write about!

Sass and Grind Saturdays: Attitude and mindset

Soul Sundays: Thoughts to feed the soul, wind up the week, and prepare for another week doing it all again!

Any other ideas? Comments? Feedback?

I’m excited for these new adventures! Let’s do it!

Day 78: 90 Day Commitment Challenge with Danelle Delgado

pexels-photo-1572492062393805.jpeg

Day 78 was as standard as it gets for me, getting everything done on my to-do list and tackling other ideas that I’ve been chewing on for a while. One thing that I’ve noticed during this challenge, is that the daily routine that I set myself in order to tackle my goals everyday, used to seem so much harder to achieve.

Now I find myself more and more often with spare time left to try new ideas, as well as cramming more of the actual task I have set myself into the same time slot (like getting through more songs in guitar practice!). It definitely helps with the motivation to keep getting up at the witching hour and cram as much of my day in as possible!

I hope you have a fantastic and successful day today!
